This process involves testing and feedback from experienced anglers. We seek individuals who incorporate our values to evaluate our products. This collaboration allows us to gather valuable insights into the performance of our lures, such as the Lil' Softy and Big Softy suspension baits, which are designed to exhibit a unique wobble fall action. CAPT. CHAD PAVLU

Owner : Capt. Chad Pavlu, owner of PavLures and Fishhead Guide Services, LLC, started this lure making endeavor with the goal to produce high quality, affordable baits for all. This allows him to explore his creativity bringing new ideas for color combinations, enhancing the quality and creating new baits for every angling style. He also promises that all of the PavLure baits will never be outsourced remaining handmade right here in Rockport, Texas.

CAPT. "CHICKEN HAWK" MAHAN

Pro Staff : Capt. Jerry "Chicken Hawk" Mahan has been an avid fisherman his entire life, and for the past three years, he's had the privilege of guiding anglers in the waters of Port O' Connor and Seadrift, Texas. As a dedicated guide, he utilizes only Waterloo rods, being his go-to choice for each trip. He takes great pride in sharing knowledge of fishing, whether they are experienced anglers or beginners. Hawk's goal is to provide clients with a memorable experience, teaching new techniques and exploring fresh fishing spots along the way. He can help make the most of time on the water. We are honored to have Capt. Hawk as our pro staff leader in his area.

Capt. Travis Sparks

Pro Staff : Capt. Travis Sparks, owner of Fish TALES Charters, has been inshore fishing in eastern North Carolina for the past 20 years. His primary waters are the lower Pamlico and Neuse Rivers along with the Pamlico Sound. North Carolina has a variety of waters to offer from deep back water creeks to shallow grass floats where he spends his time seeking out trout, reds, flounder and striper. He started his guide business 2 years ago, and loves putting people on fish. From teaching novice fishermen the basics to helping add tactics to experienced fishermen, he enjoys it all. Travis has been a super influential angler in helping promote the Pav brand in North Carolina and beyond. We're super excited to welcome him to the PavLure pro staff team!

Capt. Dom Lopez

Pro Staff : Capt. Dom Lopez was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas and a proud Texas A&M - Corpus Christi baseball alum. In 2019, he won the CCA Texas Star Tournament, and for the past 5-1/2 years, he's been guiding, specializing in targeting trophy trout and redfish along the South Texas coast. He's competed in the Saltwater Legends Series for nearly 3 years and the Professional Redfish League for 2.

Steven Herrera

Brand Ambassador : Steven Herrera is a dedicated Texas saltwater avid angler who is passionate about sharing his experiences with the fishing community. He creates content on YouTube to showcase those experiences and aims to inspire others to get out on the water. His dedication to PavLures is unmatched and he's here to support all fishermen. We are humbled to have Steven as one of our brand ambassadors and continue to provide the fishing community with knowledge and experience. Brand Ambassador : Zach Meiers is a Texas native with a passion for inshore fishing. The thrill of the hunt for big trout late evening or early morning drives him to continue to target and learn. Zach is a determined angler, paying close attention to detail. We are proud of have Zach as one of our ambassadors!

Trace Odom

Brand Ambassador : Trace Odom is a passionate South Texas saltwater angler who loves fishing the Port O'Connor and Seadrift areas and has been targeting redfish and trout for the past 5 years. He has been dedicated to the PavLures brand since the beginning spending hours on the water throwing Pav's. His go-to lures are Money Tree Big Softy and Chart Flash Lil' Softy. Brand Ambassador : Chaese Hernandez has a passion for chasing trophy speckled trout in the Lower Laguna Madre. Whether it's the thrill of the catch or the scenery of God's creation, Chaese is there even while juggling college and working to get his captain's license. He is blessed to be where he is today. His go-to Pav's are Purple Haze and Snowman.

Brand Ambassador : Lupe Hernandez is a passionate angler with years of experience fishing the waters of Laguna Madre and Copano Bay. Whether in his kayak or wade fishing, his love for the sport shines through every photo and video, inspiring others to get out and enjoy the thrill of the catch. Kyle Leckie

Brand Ambassador : Kyle Leckie is a Virginia native who fishes the Chesapeake Bay and its surrounding rivers. With trophy trout being his main target, Kyle also is an avid redfish and striper angler. The chase of the next trophy trout is what motivates him and keeps his drive dialed in. Attention to lure detail and quality is what brought Kyle to the Pav's family. 

MARTY HELMS

Brand Ambassador : Marty Helms is a passionate and dedicated Texas wade fisherman with over 30 years experience in artificial lure fishing, particularly saltwater. He is committed to the conservation of the fishing habitat and the future of the sport.

Before becoming an ambassador, Marty had the privilege of knowing some of the team members and was given the opportunity to utilize the PavLure lineup. His go-to Pav's include the Lil' Twinkies and rat tails in the Hustle and Dragon colors.

Melissa ann Pavlu

Co-Owner : Melissa Pavlu is the co-owner of PavLures alongside her husband, Chad. On the production side, Melissa takes care of all quality checks, packaging, shipping and customer service. She also manages the website, social media accounts and other administrative functions.
